Thought we ought to reiterate the forum rules on here, since we’ve had quite a few new members:

1. We do not vouch for the accuracy of information posted. All views expressed are those of the message poster.
2. We do try to remove objectionable messages within a reasonable period of time, which we define as
(a)Insults or threats
(b)Racial slurs (The n word and similar things)
(c)Vulgar or sexually graphic language
(d)Gossip about non-public figures
(e)Senseless threads (usually about non-political things)
(f)Knowingly false information
(g)Invasive of a person?s privacy
(h) Duplicate threads
(i) Wishing harm/violence to someone
(j) Posting entire articles or not providing link - When posting outside stories/articles, please “tease” these articles by posting no more than four paragraphs and linking the URL instead of copying the entire article: “teasing” make the thread easier to read and helps us avoid potential copyright issues.
(k) Calling out moderator - Our moderators are volunteers and moderating is not a perfect science. They are continually encouraged to use their best judgment in editing and/or deleting posts/accounts. Calling them out publicly is inappropriate - you may send them a private message if you have questions/concerns.
(l) Spam - these will be deleted and the account of the user posting the ad will be banned at the discretion of the moderator.
(m) Troll-like behavior
4. For “objectionable messages”, we reserve the right to edit and/or delete at the discretion of the moderator - a person caught violating one of these rules will, at the discretion of the moderator, receive a warning and/or a suspension of a member’s account. We strive at PoliticsLa to be courteous and respectful to each other while respecting the fact that people can have differing opinions.
