It is obvious the Bobby’s boys are trying to use the legislative wrap up mailout as some kind of mystery. Let me inform you of the truth:

1. It cleary states the cost and where the money came from on the bottom of the center page. It was tax payer dollars, not campaign.(try reading it!)

2. It ONLY contains information regarding this past legislative session. The bills that were considered, etc.

3. There are 65 other legislators that sent out similar mailouts to the constituents. (Many of the legislators are Republicans like Gary Beard)

4. It was sent to 12,000 people---only in his district.

This hardly seems like a mystery.

Unfortunatly, William Daniel is practicly a choir boy and I guess they can’t find any dirt, therefore, they must invent it.

I hope all the intellegent readers out there disregard the Bobby Boys obviously tainted enteries.

I wouldn’d sweat it. Most people are not as stupid as the Baker Boys would hope. This is a just another lame attack by the politically stuuuuupid Simpson campaign.

I live in the middle of Daniel’s distirct--this is the first mailing I ever remember getting from him. Certainly not “illegal” but it sure doesn’t pass the smell test.

Everything to you is one-sided. Mr. Daniel’s supporters first wrote adamantly denying the mailout was paid for by state funds because he had always used campaign funds in the past. The question was why did he change direction during this election year. The answer of course was never provided. Clouded as usual with accusations about Simpson.

Now, finally admitting the piece was paid for by the taxpayers we learn he sent out some 12,000. I did not receive one but am told it was at a total cost of about $5,000.00. Color tri-fold, three photos of Mr. Daniel to 12,000 for that price is half what it would cost any politician.

It does smell funny but if the people in his district don’t agree then good for Mr. Daniel.

I find it interesting that you know the exact number of legislators who used this mailout process. Is this the first time for them also to use taxpayer rather than campaign funds?

It smells funny but it is legal and if the people in his district don’t care then good for Mr. Daniel.

1. It cleary states the cost and where the money came from on the bottom of the center page. It was tax payer dollars, not campaign.(try reading it!)

1A. Yes it does. It was taxpayer dollars, not campaign. Your supporter adamantly denied this initally claiming William Daniel has never before used taxpayer dollars for this purpose. So the original question was why did he change that in the midst of an election? Frankly, the question is still unanswered (though not really because we all know why don’t we?)

2. It ONLY contains information regarding this past legislative session. The bills that were considered, etc.

2A. The mailout is a tri-fold, with three photos of Mr. Daniel.

3. There are 65 other legislators that sent out similar mailouts to the constituents. (Many of the legislators are Republicans like Gary Beard)

3A. That you know the exact number is interesting. Did your homework in the midst of questioning did you? In your hurried research did you find how many of those 65 are running for Mayor and for the first time ever used this “franking” to provide a wrap up?

4. It was sent to 12,000 people---only in his district.

4A. At half the price it would cost any candidate running for office to do the same.

This hardly seems like a mystery.

5A. The mystery could be why you chose taxpayer dollars to send the mailer out this year, but you are correct “this hardly seems like a mystery.” I think we all know why.

Unfortunatly, William Daniel is practicly a choir boy and I guess they can’t find any dirt, therefore, they must invent it.

6A. Oh yes quite the little choir boy.

I hope all the intellegent readers out there disregard the Bobby Boys obviously tainted enteries.

I believe all the intelligent readers out there know precisely what happened here. Legal? Yes. Smells funny? Sure it does.

What does it cost the taxpayers for Simpson to be on the city-parish propaganda channel (metro21) every 5 minutes?

Response to quote: Your version of the truth, not the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

1. It cleary states the cost and where the money came from on the bottom of the center page. It was tax payer dollars, not campaign.(try reading it!)

1A. Yes it does. It was taxpayer dollars, not campaign. Your intial supporter response on this forum adamantly denied it. He/She was certain it WAS NOT taxpayer dollars, claiming William Daniel never before used taxpayer dollars for this purpose.

So the original question was why did Mr. Daniel change that pattern in the midst of an election? Frankly, the question is still unanswered (though not really because we all know why don’t we?)

2. It ONLY contains information regarding this past legislative session. The bills that were considered, etc.

2A. The mailout is a tri-fold, with three photos of Mr. Daniel.

3A. Did your homework in the midst of questioning did you? How many of those 65 are running for Mayor and for the first time ever used this “franking” to provide a wrap up? Only one I would venture.

4. It was sent to 12,000 people---only in his district.

4A. At half the price it would cost any candidate running for office to do the same.

This hardly seems like a mystery.

I am tired of the Pols using my money for their own benefit. Daniel will not get my vote.
