Surely this isn’t right:

Isn’t that a bit small? Surely there are more than that looking at this site at any given time. I must be missing something.

Look in the threads at two posts from yesterday, on before noon and one after. These threads, “Christian Voters Guide” and “Contract on Baton Rouge” had no responses, so each person reading through the messages probably looked at each of those threads only once. (The threads with more responses will have more hits, including people who are looking for the thrilling replies to the creative original posts.) “Christian Voters Guide” from yesterday till today had 43 hits. “Contract on Baton Rouge” had 40 hits. There’s a rough estimate of the daily number of forum users for you. Most people probably look at the Politics LA front news page, but don’t venture inside. Wouldn’t you guess that most of the 40-43 users come by every day? There also will be some who do so only weekly or monthly or rarely—and if there are still no responses to the two threads in a couple of days, the number of hits will probably be yet a little higher.

I would think that most surfers that venture in quickly venture out after seeing the amount of name calling/racism/sexism that goes on in the threads. Submit a post with a typo and the likely response is. “Go where you are wanted you public school educated, government worker, loser...#### brown shirt...etc, etc.”

This board could use a Mod with a heavier hand.

I’ve noticed that. But, you’re dead anyway, why should you care?? Even if they caught you in a typo, Carville could put a spin on it…
