How many times did seated or former Governor get elected President since that time ?

Looks like this election will buck the historical trend.

John Kennedy was the last senator elected to the presidency.  Lyndon Johnson was also a senator but was a sitting president when reelcted in 1964.

But Romney was also a state Governor.
