While many fans already equate LSU football with religion, the day also was Ash Wednesday and many fans came with ashes on their foreheads.

“LSU and Catholics,” said Ronnie Bourgeois of Baton Rouge. “The only bad thing is I can’t eat meat.”

“It’s a religious and a sports holiday today,” said Kent DeJean, of Baton Rouge, who has attended 12 of the 13 Bayou Bashes.

DeJean, who is popularly known as “EVIL TWIN” on LSU Internet sites, said his law office automatically knows he takes off of work on national signing day.

“It’s like Christmas today, because we get to open our packages,”

It appears that an LSU fan equals “kool aid drinker” in the mind of this forum’s resident ‘Tard.

How are they “koolaid drinkers”? Their team just won the BCS Championship and they’re excited about it. You really must have a crappy life that you hate to see anyone else enjoying theirs.

Don’t you think that they weren’t really serious? Do you understand fun? I didn’t see that they were planning their life around the bash. They just let the office know that they’d be there every year.

Each time I read one of your posts criticizing everything that is Louisiana it makes me wonder.

Do you just hate that an LSU fan is enjoying their success?

If Jinal is successful will you be PO’d that something good is happening in Louisiana?

Ethics violation

Cabinet members with family business dealings

The hiring freeze that was almost immediately partially lifted

He keeps stubbing his toe.

He’s been in office less than a month.

The ethics violation is merely technical in that the report was amended but missed the deadline. No one tried to hide anything as it was published in Sept 07.

The cabinet members father has dealings with the state. It will be difficult to find anyone who has no family members working with the state. There’s been no allegation of any wrong doing.

Certainly he’ll need to do better but I’m giving him some time.

BTW this is the sports forum. Keep the politics on the political forum.

I still find it odd that you criticize anything that people enjoy about Louisiana.
