NO lev, it doesn’t.

How so?  Will we move divisions from Iraq/Afghanistan to confront the million man plus NK army?  Will we draft to create new divisions?  Will your children and dans children volunteer to fight?  That’s it!  Maybe we could create an entire brigade of drooling rightwing bloggers’ children.  What say you dan, fred?  Will you drive them to the recruit depot, or will you just pull out the old “he’s got asthma” canard and continue to bellow hot air on the internet?

You really are ignorant, aren’t you.

I would no more try to explain this, than try to explain the theory of relativity to a monkey.

a non Axis of Evl now? How did that happen with out us bombing the #### out of them and sending in 150,000 troops. Damn appeasers.

How convenient of you to forget that Iraq had 12 years to change their ways.

Maybe Bush just realized that he’s broken our military with his Iraq boondoggle and we are powerless to have any military effect on North Korea.  Appeasment was Bush’s only option here.

Why do you think “we are powerless to have any military effect on North Korea”? Are you really that ignorant, Leon?
We can have a serious “military effect” on any country in the world without sending a single soldier out of the USA.

You’re right.  We could always nuke them.  But for reasons that do not need to be said, this is really not an option.  Right, dan?

That then brings us back to my original point, Bush’s Iraq boondoggle limits our options, to put it mildly, with regards to using military force outside of Iraq and Afghanistan.

It’s always an option Leon. That’s why we build and keep nukes.

The US currently has troops in over 100 countries around the world. In Japan there are about 35,000 US military and in South Korea we have currently around 28,500. Despite what you want us to believe, we can get a quick strike into North Korea if/when needed.

Go run this by your buddies on the DU and come back and tell us what they told you to think.

So that’s just under 60 thousand of our troops to counter the million of theirs.  That’s some odd strategery there, dan.

The monkey might have better luck at understanding relativity theory than you would, fred.  You should have your handlers give it a shot and have them get back to us on that.

I know a whole brigade of drooling rightwing ‘tard’s children is hard to explain, but that has little to do with its complexity and a lot to do with that fact they’re not exactly beating down the recruit depot doors to sacrifice for a cause their parents so blindly support here on the internet from the safety of their homes.

I’d bet that you were one of those that were terrified of Saddam’s elite “Republican Guard” too.

That’s just the first 60,000 troops at a moments notice. There are plenty more available. And you’re an idiot if you think that the north Korean army is formidable just because they claim a million soldiers. North Korea can’t sustain (finance) a war.

You’ve offered nothing more than your own opinion to back up your statement that we don’t have a military option in North Korea.

Point is that we didn’t need a military option. It was resolved by have muti-lateral talks(Appeasement for republicans). Which could and should be until all other options run out.

North Korea, the little short funny looking guy??  If you don’t think 50000 american troops stationed in South Korea had anything to do with his backing down, you are naive.

Of course you would… LOL

Anyone reasonably informed about our kindergarten foreign policy should be aware of our military unit deployment status.  I’m not surprised in the least that you’re not.

That’s fine. Contrary to what they tell you on KOS, Republicans don’t love war.
Now, back to North Korea…
We were told the situation was fixed back in 1994 when Bill Clinton paid them 4 billion of our tax dollars along with free oil, technology, diplomatic recognition, etc… Then in 2002, it became clear that North Korea had circumvented the de-nuclearization agreement.
So it all looks good right now, but why would you now trust the same Kim Jong il that broke the prior agreement? What happens when down the road we once again learn that North Korea is building nuclear weapons? I’m not advocating any attack at this point, but how many nuclear weapons do you think we should allow them to build before we put our foot down with a military option?

And yet you still just provide your opinion. Once again, thanks for the dullard view point!
