State Sen. Francis Thompson, who voted for the pay raise that Jindal subsequently and belatedly vetoed:

“What’s $3 million in a budget of $33 billion?”

Here’s the answer. It’s the taxpayers’ money, not his.

I think ccrider has pyds. Or more like pay raise obession syndrome. How many threads are you going to start on this same exact subject??? And don’t you think that the legis and their families and their friends all pay taxes too? So if wouldn’t have been able to skip one beer every four years to pay for this, maybe Hardy could buy you one. Or maybe you could go find Bill2008 and ya’ll could hang out in your mother’s basement together. I think that ya’ll would get along great.

What I would like to know is how many of them already spent money thinking they were getting a raise?  I hope a bunch did on stuff they can’t return.

Here you go again, you don’t like people talking about payraises, but you keep reading it and complaining.  What part of “if you do not like it don’t read, do you not understand”?  And this time you are attacking.

Maybe thats why Greene up in BR needs it to feed his family.

Well he has a point in that Jindal force through a billion dollars more spending from state sources than last year plus he spent over 2 billion dollars in surplus. It is no wonder that the leges thought any spending was ok.

Excessive spending, or taxes.  I am so tired of this.  The Republicans are no longer conservative, now they spend.  The Democrats are no longer reformers, now they tax.
