Yes, the troops on the front line, unlike the armchair quarterbacks, know our military is winning.
just because you can wave a flag does not mean everything you think is right and everybody else is wrong. you are entitled to your divisive views. you dont win anyone over with intimidation.
Right on.
Waving the flag is not a sure sign of patriotism. However a trip to some of the countries where people slowly surrendered their freedoms for the promise of security might bring a realization that the fight for liberty is eternal.
Ask the Germans what happened to their country when the party of Hitler waved flags, called for patriotism and promised security if they gave up their rights.
See what happens in Mexico where corrupt and incompetent governments have kept too many of their citizens in poverty.
A trip to North Korea shows people who profess patriotism while being repressed and deprived of their human rights.
Yes, it finally appears we may be winning in Iraq but at what cost? Was it worth it? For what? And what happens when we withdraw at some future date as the majority of Iraqi citizens want? Will chaos and anarchy return? And will the lives of our patriotic soldiers have been wasted?
In the meantime, it’s evident we are losing in Afghanistan and West Pakistan. The mastermind of the 9/11 attack is still free and plotting more mayhem against us. The Taliban are slowly taking over in the south, after hiding in Pakistan where our supposed ally Musharrif rules. Musharrif, like Putin and others, is a person that George Bush totally misread.
And it appears we’re going to have another four years without a true conservative as president.
