Jindal vetoed HB 939, which increased the salary for members of the Public Service Commission from $45,000 to $75,000, saying that he found the raise “excessive.”

I wonder if Jindal will veto Moret’s pay raise as “excessive”?

Excessive?  Don’t you realize that Moret’s salary is barely adequate?

Moret last Friday fired a top aide at DED, which he of course has the right to do.

But in doing it, he showed the face of cowardice that represents the Jindal administration. He did it by sending her an e-mail: “You don’t need to come to work on Monday.”

The net number of jobs in Louisiana, despite the post-Katrina boom, has declined since Foster took office.

Here’s betting Moret won’t change the downward spiral. He does have a burden though in having to explain to out-of-state company executives why their children will be taught that creationism is how we came to be, not evolution.

I guess that’s what he learned at HBS and McKinsey.

I wouldn’t bet on it.

I don’t understand the relatively free pass Jindal is getting from the press on this Moret raise. It is appalling. Everything Jindal has said about excessive pay is hypocritical as he seeks to make a man with no apparent experience as a state economic developer director the highest paid state director in the country.
