Ah, the secrets, the secrets, the secrets that only the 90 year old mind holds. I’m sure the old man appreciated the 24 year old trying to save him. We should all live as long in a plastic bubble.

Advocate gets photo of Jindal mail sorter

A recent request by The Advocate to photograph Gov. Bobby Jindal’s 90-year-old mail sorter at work encountered roadblocks.

“Don’t think possible,” the governor’s press secretary, Melissa Sellers, said by e-mail last Tuesday.

Sellers cited concerns about allowing the media into behind-the-scenes areas of the governor’s office.

She relented after The Advocate circumvented her and snapped photos of the mail sorter at his birthday party.

After the party photo was taken, Sellers offered to allow the mail sorter to be photographed while at work.

The offer was declined since a photo already was taken.

The Advocate does have some video of the three reporters trying to get to the Fourth Floor. Sellers does try to stop them but in the end she’s all wet.

Man she’s really trapped in that “the media is my enemy” mindset.  No wonder journalists hate her.

This is quite funny.  The hyper-secretiveness is so absurd as to be comical.  But at this time, I can understand the Team Jindal bunker mentality.  The media loved Jindal until he started shoveling crap at us disguised as “gold standard” reform and working half-days while the legislature was in session.  Not signing bills and then the payraise fiasco didn’t help.  The press was eating out of his hands until after the second special session because they started to see how mismanaged and overly political the sham reforms were.  I think some in the Republican Party today can’t function without the perception of a hostile press.  It’s so bad that when there is a fawning press they have to go out of their way to alienate and create emnity with it for no reason other than to be a self-fulfilling prophecy.

The media never loved Jindal. They always loved KBB but couldn’t keep ignoring her incompetence any longer.

I am disappointed that Jindal hasn’t reached out to some senior statesman with experience.... Oh that’s right we don’t have any.

I think you know that is not true about Jindal and the media, but to acknowledge it as such would undermine the worldview the reality of which the rightwingers have worked so hard to convince themselves over the past 20 years.

Another Republican fantasy.  We have a bit more than none, especially if you include the ranks of non-elected senior officeholders.  It was his choice to go with Teepel and Sellers &Co;. at the expense of some of them.  He did choose two grown-ups though, but one has already resigned and the other one probably will resign in the future, but only after he is assured that Jindal doesn’t line item the chiropractors “payraise.”

Somebody would have run me over with a car last year if I said this about Jindal!  He was the press’ golden boy during the election.
If he tried campaigning statewide now and neglecting his job more so than he’s already done for a US SEnate seat the press would crush him.  He got away with it as a Congressman cause they loved him.  Love is blind I guess that’s why I can see, nobody loves me!  cool mad

I thought Melissa was 25?

Anyway, I miss Marie Centanni (Blank-o’s last press secretary), she was both interesting to listen to and very nice on the eyes.
