A state district judge has dismissed all charges against six officers and a former officer accused in two deadly post-Hurricane Katrina shootings at a New Orleans bridge, the Associated Press reports.

I guess we’ll be getting another visit from Jesse and Al.

In Loco Pavlovis

Stories about black people who have been shot, replacing Malt-O-Meal with visions of Jesse and Al in the brains of rightwingers since 1980.  Y’all are loco.  In a Pavlovian way.

Nope.  Don’t even think it.  Not the governor.  He has a job to do (God bless him and help keep him focused on governing and not on imposing his personal religious interpretations on the rest of us) while I’m just a moderate gadfly ... which in Louisiana they call “liberal.” --Faux Bobby Jindal

It was the right thing to do. The cops were in a precarious situation.

"One thing is for sure, I will not bail them out on this and do their job for them. I will not veto this as it is very clear to everyone that the result would be a grinding halt to the tremendous reforms and progress our state is making. I will give them no excuse to stop doing the people’s business, and I will not allow the momentum of our state to stop over this or anything else."--Bobby Jindal
