Jindal is a good speaker and should get out and campaign with Kennedy.

He ain’t THAT dumb. His ads will come out after early voting! duh

They are supposedly out today.  The polls that come out early next week should be interesting.

Here’s the ad.

Compared to Jindal everyone is a conservative.  LOL

The word on the street is that an ad will soon be launched featuring Jindal talking about the Senate race and backing Kennedy.

Why is Jindal risking his political standing backing a guy who’s not going to get elected????

You’re probably right, but I thought Bobby Jindal would be in a position to push back to “party pressure.”

I know some people criticized him for not getting behind Kennedy earlier, but I thought staying out of that race was a smart move politically.  And getting in now, when it’s probably too late for him to make a difference, is a really dumb move on his part.  Backing unsuccessful candidates is going to hurt his “rising star” status and the perception of his popularity.  I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a Governor more worried about public perception than Jindal, and it’s going to be hard for his spin-masters to explain away the fact that he can’t help others get elected.  I just can’t figure out why he’s doing this, at least not now.

A true leader will get out front and get people to follow. I guess Gov Jindal is losing some his leadership qualities.

What a disappointment.

Good question, Coach, and you’re probably right Fred. Now, the day after, with Kennedy losing by 120,000 votes in this small state of ours, you have to wonder what the spread would have been had Jindal not endorsed Kennedy? A sitting governor doesn’t have many chances to make a strong endorsement for a statewide election - US Senate being one of those few opportunities - so when they do and when the flop, you have to take notice. After all, this is but one year after Jindal’s own landslide.
