Those Chicks at Starbucks

O I havenʼt written a poem
In quite a long time,
So I guess Iʼll try writinʼ one
And try to make it rhyme!
If I work real hard
And have a little luck,
I might become a bard
Writinʼ ʽbout Starbucks.
Seems all those beautiful gals
Have gone to Starbucks, Slick;
So I gotta get over there, pal,
And find me a chick.
Those Starbucks gals
Look like a bunch of movie stars;
But itʼs I in my old truck
And they in their fancy cars.
But Iʼve found out somethin’
‘Bout a truck I didnʼt know:
Itʼs if you have a truck,
Itʼs with you they wanta go.
Somethin’ ʽbout a truck
That makes a Starbucks honey
Wanta climb up in that cab
And help you spend your money.
You ask, what’s this got to do with
politics. Well, it was at Starbucks
that I met Governor Jindal, while
he was still a Congressman and
before he was elected governor.
Everybody who is anybody goes
to Starbucks, and that includes lots
of politicians; and some of the
politicians are even beautiful
women, like Sarah Palin. Have not
see her there yet, but expect to see
her any day there.
