Over the weekend, former President Bill Clinton enthusiastically endorsed the prospect that his wife, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, might join the Obama administration as secretary of state. “If he decided to ask her and they did it together,” the former president said, “I think she’ll be really great as a secretary of state.”

I bet obama rejects her due to some past dealings of Bill, in an attempt to hurt her political future.  And how does this affect her running for president in 2012??

She’s not going to run in 2012, and in 2016 she’s probably going to be to old to run, and if Obama gets re-elected, that would put her running in 2020 at the earliest. She’s done. She doesn’t have a shot at becoming President now.

Barack is setting Hillary up, and will be rid of her once and for all.

Barack has got a 64 page questionnaire all candidates have to fill, he want all candidate to disclose everything.

There is no way Hillary will answer all the questions.  There is no way the Clintons will reveal sources of their income.  With all this money Bill has taken from the ChiComs back in the nineties to the present, all the money he’s taken from Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, with his wife sitting there, and they’re going to have to ask Clinton to give up all this income.

And IF Hillary is selected to be S O S, Bill won’t be able to continue make speeches and collecting the big bucks from these people if your wife is Secretary of State.

During the debate between Obama and Clinton that was on MSNBC, Obama himself said during the debate that it was kind of important to know who the donors were at the Clinton Library.

If you’re Barack Obama, the last thing you want to deal with is Bill and Hillary yapping at your knees and your ankles all day long.  What a diss of Bill Clinton, to deny his wife the Secretary of State job because we can’t go through with this vetting process, there’s just however they would say it, to blame Bill Clinton for it would effectively throw Clinton out of the party and be the end of his attempts to legacify himself and so forth.

Hmmm.... Interesting.

Hillary Clinton and the Emoluments Clause:

There’s been talk about whether Sen. Hillary Clinton is disqualified from a position as Secretary of State by the Emoluments Clause:

No Senator or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States, which shall have been created, or the Emoluments whereof shall have been encreased during such time ....

If you are part of a society that votes, then do so. There may be no candidates and no measures you want to vote for . . but there are certain to be ones you want to vote against. In case of doubt, vote against. By this rule you will rarely go wrong. - Robert Heinlein

Robert KKK Byrd may flip off Hillary

Giving Hillary Clinton the Byrd

CNS: The president pro tempore may challenge the constitutionality of a Secretary of State Clinton.

Well, he did vote against the appointment of Sen. William Saxbe 35 years ago as attorney general because Saxbe was in the Senate when the attorney general’s pay was raised.

Under one interpretation of the emoluments clause in the Constitution, that would disqualify him.

The Saxbe solution was to simply rescind the raise. No harm, no foul.

CNS News reported Sen. Robert C. Byrd’s staff is exploring whether to oppose Clinton on this grounds.

Byrd argued 35 years ago that the Constitution is “so clear that it can’t be waived.”

Apparently Don Suber would rather have Hillary:  “I don’t like Hillary and if there were a better candidate on the Democrat side for the post, I would oppose the nomination. But the Democrats are so bereft of anyone who actually will stand up for this nation on the international scene.”

Maybe Obama should vet these nominee’s a little better… Hopenchange… LOL

On Dec. 19, 2008. at 2 p.m., the New York-based Alavi Foundation, which supports Iranian causes, contributed between $25,000 and $50,000 to the William J. Clinton Foundation. This can be best described as the ultimate chutzpah, for on the very same day, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York indicted the president of the Alavi Foundation, Farshid Jahedi, “on a charge of obstruction of justice for allegedly destroying documents required to be produced under a grand jury subpoena concerning the Alavi Foundation’s relationship with Bank Melli Iran and the ownership of a Manhattan office building.”
