...Instead, he addresses Americans, lecturing them on the failures of their leaders to stop the war in Iraq despite growing public opposition in the U.S.

“There are two solutions to stopping it. One is from our side, and it is to escalate the fighting and killing against you. This is our duty, and our brothers are carrying it out,” bin Laden said.

“The second solution is from your side,” he said. “I invite you to embrace Islam.”

“It will also achieve your desire to stop the war as a consequence, because as soon as the warmongering owners of the major corporations realize that you have lost confidence in your democratic system and have begun to look for an alternative, and this alternative is Islam, they will run after you to please you and achieve what you want to steer you away from Islam,” he said.

He derides President Bush, saying the American leader is backing Shiites against Sunnis in Iraq. But, bin Laden said, events in Iraq have gotten “out of control” and Bush is “like the one who plows and sows the sea: He harvests nothing but failure.”

Bin Laden said the prestige of mujahedeen — Islamic holy warriors — has “grown globally” while America has been “bled dry economically.”

The video appeared to have been recently made, since bin Laden refers to the Democratic Party’s congressional victory in last fall’s election and to French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who was elected in May.

The transcript also praises the American political activist and author Noam Chomsky, mentions global warming and refers to the Aug. 6 anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima during World War II.

Hey BJ, Indianhead...this guy thinks just like y’all do!!!

It is sad that you are tricked into helping Bin Laden.  His aim is to polarize both the Islamists and his opposition, thereby driving recruits to his cause.  One way he does this is by using slogans that hope to ring a chord or two with either side.  Analyzing his speeches is proper, if you have the knowledge to do that, which you don’t.  Otherwise, his speeches should be ignored, and he should be captured or killed.  Islamist propaganda should never be taken at face value.

Nope.  Don’t even think it.  Not the governor.  He has a job to do (God bless him and help keep him focused on governing and not on imposing his personal religious interpretations on the rest of us) while I’m just a moderate gadfly ... which in Louisiana they call “liberal.” --Faux Bobby Jindal

You’re trying to justify your lack of patriotism with fluff Bull shitz. You fool only yourself.
bin Laden’s goal is the same as yours. You both hope the US loses the war against terrorists.

People who don’t agree with you “lack patriotism” and “hope the US loses the war against terrorists”?  Talk about brainwashed un-American loser vitriol!  I’d invite you to go back to China or Cuba where they all walk in lockstep to one opinion, but you’ve probably been invited there before.  You know what you are?  You are an authoritarian.

Bobby,

I don’t think that everybody who is against the war is “unpatriotic” because some people don’t want the country to lose a war, some believe that it’s against the Constitution, and various other reasons.

However, there is a plethora of people, who through their actions and their words have clearly expressed their desire that terrorist defeat the United States. There are people in this country who believe that we are at fault and deserve to lose. There are people in this country that does not care that the terrorist want every single one of us to become Muslim before there is peace. There are people in this country that hates Christianity because as they see it, Christians starts wars, yet, they want us to understand Muslims when Muslims are intolerant of different views.

There are people that wished for America to suffer 1,000 Mogadishus. There are people in this country that have clearly stated that they will “Support the troops when they turn their guns on their officers.”

We have people in this country who openly sided with Palestinians, by saying “I am palestinian” even though they are white, hispanic, oriental or what ever race other than Palestinian they were.

We have people who demand that America pulls out of Iraq, but never once, not one single time have I heard them demand that the terrorist pull out of Iraq.

Those people, and every single country during every war has had them. People like that, throughout history, have been shot and killed by their governments for being a traitor. Our constitution even allows for the punishment of those people that can be identified as traitors. Under the dictatorship of Bush, they’ve been allowed to continue to speak out. Under the guidance of the Democrat party, they have found protection.

booby,

In todays dimocratic party, there are people who would wish the death of our soldiers, and the defeat of our country, if it would further their own personal political gains.. If the dimo’s were smart, they would rid themselves of these people.

I am trying to come up with the list of Democrats who want the death of our soldiers and the defeat of our country.

So far I have:

Bob Odom

Mary Landrieu

The Drunk Guy ... Ford?

Walter Boasso (for the last 6 months)

Foster Campbell

Cedric Glover

Kip Holden

Angelina Jolie

Gus Weill

Dave Robicheaux

Bill Moyers

Arlen Specter

of course, I don’t have any “evidence” on these people, but they act suspicious.  Any others?

I’m not quite sure why you named some of those people, but hey if you want to call them out like that, that’s on you. Me personally, I’d rather identify the actions, and let people decide for their self if a person is pro-terrorist, anti-American, or because they actually believe they are looking out for the well being of the country.

Now, would you say Cindy Sheehan is clearly Patriotic, or clearly anti-American?

WASHINGTON - Seemingly taunting Osama bin Laden, President Bush’s homeland security adviser said Sunday the fugitive al-Qaida leader is “virtually impotent” beyond his ability to hide away and spread anti-American propaganda.

The provocative characterization came just days after bin Laden attracted international attention with the release of a video in which he ridicules President Bush about the Iraq war and reminds the world that he has not been captured.

Bin Laden tearing our country apart??  DD a pawn of Bin Laden??  Maybe in your twisted world booby.. Bin Laden is hold up, god knows were, constantly moving, fearful for his life, wearing this fake beard, and you feel he’s tearing our country apart??  This tape is pure propoganda, nothing more.  Put out to give you and the liberal media hope that he’s still alive, which of course in your mind means GW has failed.

Your pathetic.

Consider the ramblings of Charles Manson.  Every now and then he may hit on a sentence that you understand, or agree with, or know someone who agrees with it.  Does that mean any of you agree with Charles Manson?  Of course not.  He is a killer trying to use anything he can for his own twisted ends.  You do the west a disservice when you try to decide what his “philosophy” means.

So you noticed that strange quotation from the administration, calling him “impotent.” I hope that means the administration won’t believe its own babble and let up on security.  Talk about feeding off each other!!

Bin Laden himself is impotent.  The terrorist movement is not.  There are active cells worldwide. Now is not the time to let up on security.

Once again, a terrorist speaks, and in response a conservative pawn cluelessly attacks his fellow Americans.
