LSU Head Coach Les Miles said Monday quarterback Ryan Perrilloux and linebacker Derrick Odom will not practice today and the team is preparing as though they will not have them for Saturday’s game.  Both players are accused of getting into a brawl with bouncers at The Varsity, a popular restaurant and nightclub near the north gates of LSU.  As of Monday afternoon, no criminal charges had been filed.

Let’s see:

Started a brawl
Wouldn’t leave night club
Were with “pregnant” girlfriends

If these guys were white, we’d call em “trailer trash”..

Gotta love it Fred. I use to go to the Chimes and Varsity when I lived in Baton Rouge years ago. The Varsity has the best and biggest seafood platter I have ever seen. There were some good times back then.  This Perilloux seems to be trouble maker.

The problem with guys like this is that people think they can’t win without them… but when a player causes a circus outside the field, you can’t win with him.

this just makes it more likely the coach will not be here next year.

Well, no charges has been filed yet and we probably are jumping to conclusions, however, the QB does seem to have a social problem.

In my opinion, they should “mistreat” them off the team and out of school, pronto.

Perrilloux may deserve another chance but Odom is just bad news, in my opinion.  They should let him go, I’m sure he’ll be playing for the Bengals one day soon.

Well, perhaps they should exercise them from the team… You can take the ------ out of the ghetto, but you can’t take the ghetto out of the -----------.

Why because you need a back up quarterback for your team ?
Both of them should be tossed.

Do you know how the whole thing started?

What I heard, Perriloux and Odom were on the stage doing karioke or something.. The clock struck two, and the staff was trying to clear the building out, and the football players said they weren’t going anywhere.. It escalated from there.

To add to this, I heard there was some band playing that night that the players knew.

Has any of us seen the video tape?

I think we really should off on judgments until we know the facts. I’m all for throwing Odom and Perriloux off the team if they started it, or their actions created the situation… but, what if they didn’t? Are we willing to throw away their careers for something that’s not their fault?

Les Miles knows the situation better than any of us and Perriloux isn’t playing this week… that’s what I know. Why Les made that decision is fine wiht me, he’s the coach. Whether or not Perriloux did anything wrong, I like Miles’ decision simply because the message it sends to other players, he ain’t afraid to sit you out.
