Doesn’t seem to be your usual collection of state reps and state senators.

Why do so many reporters mention that Republicans are quitting Congress because the Democrats are suddenly in control. Last time I looked in this two party system of ours that is just how the game is played. You stick around in good times and bad times and try to help your state.  The “I’m taking my ball home” attitude will produce the weakest Louisiana delegation since the end of the Long era.

I liked Chester Kelly’s platform in ‘06, better than McCrery, when he challenged McCrery from the Republican side.  Hopefully he can get more support this time.

Jim Crowley seems to becoming the typical “run for everything under the sun” guy.  He ran for Sec. of State in ‘06, either Commish of Insurance or L. Gov. this past year, and now he’s going to run for Congress??

American voters wanted change, and so do I.

The Republican Party needs to CHANGE its leadership.

I think the reporters mention it because it is reality. Congress is a cush gig, to be sure, but it’s a heck of a lot less work and stress to be in the majority. If you could triple your income overnight, there is no better time than when your elected position starts to be much less fun.
