“The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (“ODC”) commenced an investigation into numerous complaints of serious professional misconduct filed against respondent. The complaints allege that respondent neglected his clients’ legal matters, failed to communicate with his clients, and failed to promptly return his clients’ files upon request.  Respondent also engaged in conduct which is prejudicial to the administration of justice. Respondent now seeks to permanently resign from the practice of law in lieu of discipline. The ODC has concurred in respondent’s petition.

Having considered the Petition for Voluntary Permanent Resignation from the Practice of Law filed by Hardy M. Parkerson, Louisiana Bar Roll number 10327, and the concurrence there to filed by the ODC, IT IS ORDERED that the request of Hardy Martel Parkerson for permanent resignation in lieu of discipline be and is hereby granted, pursuant to Supreme Court Rule XIX, § 20.1 and Rule 5.5(c) of the Rules of Professional Conduct, as amended March 24, 2004.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that HardyM. Parkerson shall be permanentlyprohibited from practicing law in Louisiana or in anyother jurisdiction in which heis admitted to the practice of law; shall be permanently prohibited from seeking readmission to the practice of law in this state or in any other jurisdiction in which he is admitted; and shall be permanently prohibited from seeking admission to the practice of law in any jurisdiction.”

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the proceedings in 07-B-1923 be dismissed as moot.”

Thanks!  I was not disbarred, as you have said.  I just
chose to retire and resign my law license, rather than
spend the time and money necessary to oppose the
petition for interim suspension.  There are two sides
to every complaint filed against a lawyer; and, of course,
I had mine.  I was not found guilty of any unethical
conduct, nor was I ever convicted of any crime--not
even a misdemeanor.  Thanks for being so interested
in me!

Sincerely,

Hardy Parkerson, Attorney - Retired

This is not how a lawyer “retires,” at least with honor.
Hardy agreed to “permanent resignation” which means that he can NEVER practice law again, here or ANYWHERE ELSE. This is what would have happened had he proceeded with a hearing and the court would have permanently disbarred him. The dismissal of disciplinary proceedings was dismissal “as moot” which means, Hardy you have AGREED to imposition of the most punishment they could have given him.

Hardy, it is fine if you want to come back here. But do not lie and misrepresent and try to shade what happened in the disciplinary proceedings against you.

What you say is a lie.  I would not have been
disbarred.  I did nothing sufficient for a
disbarment.  You are guilty of Internet
Terrorism, and I expect that soon you will
be arrested and jailed for same.  If the
owners of this web-site were wise, they’d
immediately bar you from posting hereon.

P.S.: And you are a coward.  You want to
take me on, but you are afraid to let me
know who you are, choosing instead to
use a fake name similar to my own.  Franklin
D. Roosevelt said that anybody who would
write an anonymous letter is a coward.
Writing an anonymous internet post is the
same thing, especially when it attacks and
defames another.  GROW UP an WISE
UP before you go to prison for a long time.

Thanks!  I’d like to answer you further, but
I’m too busy.  There’s great money out
there to be made, rather than sitting here
diddling on this computer.  A couple of
hundred thousand dollars here, a couple of
hundred thousand dollars there; pretty soon
we are talking about some real money.

Have a nice day!

Sincerely,

Hardy Parkerson

What are you doing now that you’re no longer allowed to be a lawyer?  Are you thinking about challenging Boustanty?

Thinking about it, yes.! But looks as if
he is doing a pretty good job. Of course,
it’s those kinds of public officials that
usually get knocked off.  The better
job you do, the more the people hate
you. Oh, well! That’s Louisiana politiics.
Thanks for asking!

I think George W. Bush has the same problem.
The better the job he does, the more the Democratics hate him.

Looks to me, however, that it is the Republicans
who hate him so.  We Democratics rather like
him.  He’s funny.  When Hillary wrote in her
book that she met Bill in the Library at Yale,
George Bush heard about it, and said, “Hey! I
went to Yale too.  But I didn’t know they had
a library at Yale.” (Humor intended!)
