The State’s $6-7 million cash subsidy of Albamarle to move 30 jobs here has been criticized by some people in the press. Some of the criticism stems from the fact that Albamarle was the employer of Mrs. Jindal at one time. How do you feel?

This has been in the works for some time. Albemarle (Ethyl) has been playing Louisiana like a fiddle for 50 years (actually longer than that). From what I heard Albemarle has wanted to shut down the Richmond office for some time.

Was it this campaign or the last campaign that the controversy arose over Mrs. Jindal staying on Albemarle’s payroll as she campaigned full time for her husband? Is that unethical? Is that a bribe?
