LET HIM WITHOUT SIN THROW THE FIRST STONE

From an insider I understand that Mayor Holden is not going to sue Scott Wilfong for defamation of character and he is going to let it die.  Apparently he does not want to be deposed himself.

The general understanding here, anyway, has been that public figures don’t get anywhere suing for campaign slurs.  It’s the lady, a private citizen, who would have to do it, and of course the downside to that is she immediately makes herself .... a public figure!!  With all of the Jindal ethics gold-standardizing and especially the disclosure regulations, I am convinced that Bottom Line is right when he says that all the slimers had to do was form an LLC and run their business through that to avoid scrutiny.

Nope.  Don’t even think it.  Not the governor.  He has a job to do (God bless him and help keep him focused on governing and not on imposing his personal religious interpretations on the rest of us) while I’m just a moderate gadfly ... which in Louisiana they call “liberal.” --Faux Bobby Jindal

This has nothing to do with ethics reform.

My guess is Byron “Serial Sexual Harasser” Sharper is behind the whole thing. Kip has no case and if the rumors are true he would really be in a pickle.

If you are part of a society that votes, then do so. There may be no candidates and no measures you want to vote for . . but there are certain to be ones you want to vote against. In case of doubt, vote against. By this rule you will rarely go wrong. - Robert Heinlein
