Palin energizes the right and highlights Obama’s inexperience.  The writer of this article has it wrong. He claims McCain can no longer talk about Obama’s inexperience but the mere fact that he is comparing the Presidential candidate of the Dems to the VP candidate of the Republicans kills his point.

Now it is who is less experienced Obama or Sarah???

No position in government better prepares someone to be president than governor of a state.  A fact many dims pointed out in the past when talking about Bill Clinton.  Of course now that it’s a republican, their previous beliefs no longer apply.  Let’s see if Joe Biden wants to bloody her nose.  (I think she can take him).

Reading about this woman, she is quite accomplished.  Conservative, NRA member, pro-life, hunts meese (the plural of moose), and fishes (even baits her own hooks”..  My kinda woman!!!!!) I’ll take her any day of that disingenuine arrogant hump, biden…

But aleady the media, who in the past has trumpeted the working mother as the hero of the nation, is questioning her decision to run, given the fact she just gave birth to a downs syndrome baby.  The dims and the MSM beliefs seem to change, depending on party affiliation.

The republicans vice-presidential candidate is MORE qualified to run this country than the dimo’s presidential candidate.

I hope I am wrong but my gut feeling tells me this is over.  If McCain was 10 years younger Palin a wise choice.  At 72 it’s risky business.  I’m prepared to fly my American Flag upside down if Obama wins.  I suppose brushing up on the ol’ Spanish may be a prudent thing to do.  Como esta?  Hasta luego!!!

For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of John McCain.

John McCain made the right choice, I can now officially get on board with the Palin-McCain ticket.

I’m really impressed with Palin. She seems so genuine, down to earth, average jane without a chip on her shoulder.

It’s over for Obama, he’s toast. The fact that liberals are talking about Palin and comparing her to the head of their ticket speaks volumes about where they are at.

It’s going to be over on the day the two vice Presidential candidates meet because for the first time it’s very realistic that people have to look at the vice president. There’s is a general sense that Barack Obama could very well be assassinated based on his skin color (which I don’t believe would happen) and that John McCain could die in office (which, yeah, could happen).

I think Palin can handle the tough guy Joe Biden… and when that happens, Barack is going to look like a very weak person who’s judgement can not be trusted.

Have you ever heard her speak?  All I’ve done is read the Wiki article about her.  It may be a little premature to be so rhapsodic about his choice.

All important to Bottomline---I read today she has an 85% approval rating two years into her term as governor.

Tony this is a race for two or three toss up states. Palin didn’t cost McCain a single state and she puts every toss up state into the McCain column just if she adds 4 or 5% of the women vote.

Palin is the governor of a state.  She’s also been the mayor for a city in Alaska. And for a time she was the ethics chairman of the Alaska oil and gas conservation commission. But that does not add up to broad experience, particularly the type of broad experience you think should launch you to the national level.

Of course, Senator Barack Obama, who is running for president of the United States, has no executive experience and has only been in the U.S. Senate since 2005.

IB: I have to also say that with Palin as McCain’s VP choice that he loses the weapon of “Obama is too inexperienced”.

The reason is because if they win, she is a heartbeat away from the presidency. And while she may have SOME experience, she doesn’t have enough to make the McCain criticisms of Obama’s inexperience stick anymore.

I am not saying it is a bad move for him to make. I just feel it makes him lose an option.

Edited to add: I also don’t think that she will help McCain get disgruntled Hillary voters as some have suggested. They may be angry over Hillary not getting it but when the time comes to pull the lever they will either not vote OR they will come back to the Democrats.

Of course she has twice the executive experience of the Governor of Louisiana touted by some as a potential candidate. smile

I will be interested to see what the old guard says about her as they get to know her.

Believe me I hope you’re right.  4 or 5% could swing some of the states that are close.

With a background as a mayor and a governor, she has infinately more experience than obama.  No, the “inexperience” weapon against obama just got stronger.

The weapon, to continue that analogy, of having a VP that everyone is trying to decide if she is more or less experienced than Obama is pretty powerful. It keeps his inexperience in the limelight and McCain never has to bring it up again. Using your logic, do you want inexperience a heart beat away from the oval office, Palin or inexperience in the oval office, Obama?

Oh my God that is exaxtly what Jesus Limbaugh and Moses Hannity have been saying ALL afternoon!  I’m starting to wonder if some of you are EIB EEs, hehehe!  Look you don’t have to tell me that being mayor of Mayberry, AK has prepared her to fill in for Mccain should (God forbid) something happen to his 75 year old (young) self!  She’s more prepared than Sen. Saddam Hussein Arugulaobama, who has never been the mayor of Mayberry, Il, for Jesus’ (the REAL Jesus, not Jesus Limbaugh) sake.
