The Dems can try to point to policy issues or other campain efforts, but the truth is that this election is over.  On this board, we look at campaigns much closer than the average voter.  Just as some will vote for Obama for no other reason than he is partially black, others will now vote for McCain because he has a female VP.

I agree Trollfessor it is over for McCain, and Thank God a large number number of people will vote for Obama just because he is the right choice.

No position in government better prepares someone to be president than governor of a state.  A fact many dims pointed out in the past when talking about Bill Clinton.  Of course now that it’s a republican, their previous beliefs no longer apply.  Let’s see if Joe Biden wants to bloody her nose.  (I think she can take him).

Reading about this woman, she is quite accomplished.  Conservative, NRA member, pro-life, hunts meese (the plural of moose), and fishes (even baits her own hooks”..  My kinda woman!!!!!) I’ll take her any day of that disingenuine arrogant hump, biden…

But aleady the media, who in the past has trumpeted the working mother as the hero of the nation, is questioning her decision to run, given the fact she just gave birth to a downs syndrome baby.  The dims and the MSM beliefs seem to change, depending on party affiliation.

The republicans vice-presidential candidate is MORE qualified to run this country than the dimo’s presidential candidate.

She’d be fun on a hunting trip but I think McCain has given away a good chance at winning. I’m just thinking of not voting. I would have voted for McCain but I can’t see this decision as a positive for any of us. I’m stumped.

How can you not like Palin? Palin is by far the best of the four candidates… McCain is slightly better than Biden, and Obama is just way out there.

This is how I can not like Palin. I am anti-hunting for sport.  I would be for declaring polar bears an endangered species. She vetoed a law to protect them.  I am against snowmobiles and she bragged that her hubby, who needs to shave, races snowmobiles.  I am against allowing drilling in ANWR. McCain could have chosen a better running mate. I’m so disappointed.

If you are part of a society that votes, then do so. There may be no candidates and no measures you want to vote for . . but there are certain to be ones you want to vote against. In case of doubt, vote against. By this rule you will rarely go wrong. - Robert Heinlein

Obama likes to surf, are you against that too? Even hunters who do it for sport still consume the meat they shot.

Who would you have McCain picked for a VP?

I’m not against surfing as long as it does not cut in on the habitat of animals that must live in the ocean.
I wish McCain had chosen Romney, Kay B. Hutchinson, or another more experienced person. Palin is too far removed from things I believe. I would have voted for McCain. Now I don’t feel that I can and I’m sorry.
All people who hunt for sport do not consume what they kill and even if they do, it isn’t something that is necessary for them to have food. They hunt because it gives them a thrill to kill an animal that cannot fight back. Some sport!
