Joe Biden’s denunciation of his own campaign’s ad to Katie Couric got so much attention last night that another odd note in the interview slipped by.

He was speaking about the role of the White House in a financial crisis.

“When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the princes of greed,” Biden told Couric. “He said, ‘Look, here’s what happened.’”

This is hilarious!!!!!  The stock market crashed in 1929, there was no television, and Roosevelt wasn’t president yet..  Is this a plan for Biden to act so stupid, he has an excuse to quit?  Then obama could bring in Hillary as VP??

Nope.  Don’t even think it.  Not the governor.  He has a job to do (God bless him and help keep him focused on governing and not on imposing his personal religious interpretations on the rest of us) while I’m just a moderate gadfly ... which in Louisiana they call “liberal.” --Faux Bobby Jindal

He meant radio and you know it.  Roosevelt was famous for his frequent “fireside chats” to reassure the public.

I only know what he said, “roosevelt went on television"… There was no television then, and roosevelt wasn’t president… You’re fighting a losing one here.

I’m sorry, but we used to get the text message on Sunday nights on the googlephone from fdr.com, reminding us to tune in to the You Tube, and we would all gather ‘round and listen to the fireside chats with a crackling fireplace screensaver on the monitor.  Are you questioning my memory?  Then we all downloaded “Happy Days Are Here Again” for our i-Phones and watched “The Jazz Singer” videos.

That’s odd to see loyal Bushies think a reference to “television” instead of “radio” is some big deal, squeaking away like a pack of gerbils.

That’s it booby, say it doesn’t matter.  While you wait for the slightest slip from McCain or Palin. No boy, it does matter.. Biden is hilarious, and meant what he said.

That’s quite a statement from the pack of clowns that spent time saying Palin’s statement was wrong because she said domestic energy produstion and they insist she meant domestic energy consumption.

Or was unsure of a bush policy… Two standards here, one for them, one for republicans.

Are they acknowledging that republicans are smarter??  Sure sounds like it.

She knows more about energy than anyone else in the United States.  You’ve got to count on somebody.
