on late show tonight asks why suspend the campaign, let the second string quarterback keep it running, what’s wrong with that? and

As part of his plan to suspend his campaign activities, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) today decided to cancel his appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman. McCain’s campaign reportedly told Letterman that the senator was “racing back to Washington.” That, however, didn’t happen. In his show to air tonight, Letterman shows footage of McCain sitting down with CBS’s Katie Couric for an interview at the same time he was supposed to be on his show.

Instead of McCain, Letterman hosted MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann.

Well, at least the left hand agree with the right.. Letterman is an azz.  The show is beneath McCain.

Plus the guy hasn’t said anything funny in years.

McCain has turned to habitual lying.  That is not a good sign for his campaign or for the country.

It is clear he lied directly to David Letterman, saying he had to be on the plane to DC, when he really was headed for the Evening News interview.

And in Politico:

September 24, 2008
A non-emergency meeting

The McCain campaign’s new urgency about the financial crisis didn’t entirely clear his schedule this morning.

My colleague Amie Parnes reports that he made it to his scheduled morning meeting with Lady Lynn de Rothschild, a Clinton backer who recently came out in support of him.

All while Obama was waiting by the phone for a returned call

Nope.  Don’t even think it.  Not the governor.  He has a job to do (God bless him and help keep him focused on governing and not on imposing his personal religious interpretations on the rest of us) while I’m just a moderate gadfly ... which in Louisiana they call “liberal.” --Faux Bobby Jindal

McCain shouldn’t be going on David Letterman’s show anyway. It is much more appropriate for him to appear on a serious news program (well, CBS and Katie as close as you can get in the MSM). Letterman is a crybaby and showed it last night.

McCain started by hiding palin from the press and now McCain is hiding.  McBush can not hide from telling the voters the bad economy was just their imagination.

He said he suspended his campaign.  Then he conferred with the former Hillary elitist Rothschild girl and went to a CBS News interview.  He is a liar about suspending the campaign, he is a liar about his appointments, he is a liar about his positions on issues.
