Please.  Nobody was in the tank more for big banks who were making sky high profits from high/ARM interest rates than Republicans.  If it was such a problem: 1) why have no Republicans done anything until after a “crisis” ensued; 2) if this is Clinton’s fault (what’s not to you doochebags?) then why with six years of Republican Congressional leadership in tandem with a Republican President did Republicans do nothing?  It was because a housing boom was: a) making people money hand over fist, and b) the housing market boom disguised economic weaknesses that were politically risky to accept.  Certainly there is bipartisan fault here, but to what degree is the question.  To try to paint this as solely a Democrat problem from the 1990s just makes Republicans look either stupid or complacent the last 8 years.  Perhaps we will find out that they were complacent because they were too stupid to understand.

Probably because Dems keep slipping things (like money to ACORN) in the fixes.

Well, the dims found out yesterday they’re not going to get their golden parachute bailout.. Things will settle down, it’ll be worked out with a better deal than the krap obama was trying to pass yesterday.. Already the market has calmed down..
