Dr. Secretary Paulson,
I saw the news where you asked the American taxpayer to help shore up the financial system to prevent a collapse sending the American economy in to a depression. I now understand that you’ve partially changed your mind and are going to provide bailouts to other groups as well. I’d like you to consider my request for $200,000.
I owe about $80,000 on my home mortgage and another $15,000 on cars, credit cards etc… I’d really like to pay that off. I know that’s only about $95,000 but listen to the rest. The kids after a few years of college have about $55,000 in college loans I’d like to pay that off as well. I mean who wants to start their career in that much debt? That’s $150,000, I know you are saying why so much more.
Well, with the kids flying to coup we’d really like to remodel and figure it’s going to take about $50,000. The new kitchen and of course that new outdoor kitchen would be great for parties. Plus, I really need a new zero turn mower and while I’m at it may as well get the yard properly landscaped. Just think of the jobs this will create...wink, wink.... It’ll be great for the economy.
Heck, why not make it $250,000. I’m sure I’ll think of some way to use it to stimulate the economy.
Thank you in advance for considering my request.
Your humble taxpayer,
Roux Deslaw
