I don’t think so.

If I want to put up a fence between me and my neighbor, what business is it of someone else?

I was hoping someone would tell why the UN feels that they should take it down. It appears to have stopped some of the daily suicide bombing that they were having before putting it up.

The US has razor-wire fences on the Mexican border, what’s the difference?

The difference is that the international community recognizes the US annexation of Tejas, Nuevo Mexico, Arizona, y California el Norte. Quite a large fraction of the international community, the US included, believe that Isreal’s annexation of the West Bank is still open to negotiation, at the very least.

The Wall does not just separate supposedly Palestinian areas from Isreali areas - it sets in concrete Israel’s definition of what those areas are, which is still in dispute. It also separates Palestinians from hospitals, schools, work, and some case even running water. It is a far different matter than “normal” borders between nations.

I am definitely for keeping the wall, but I am not understanding why there are those, besides the Palestinians, who want to see it taken down.

The above was posted before reading the good explanations in the 2 or 3 posts just prior to this one. About the hospitals, etc. needed by the Palestinians.... maybe if they need the services available in Israel, they will behave themselves and be allowed to enter when they need to. I don’t see that they were gaining anything but misery in blowing themselves and innocent people up with suicide bombs before the wall was built. As the USA has poured money into Israel over the years, why doesn’t Saudi Arabia give money to Palestine to be used for constructive purposes instead of making bombs?

Notice how Israel has gotten better control over their terror incidents. I think we should be more like them.

Yes, Israel is tough. I think we should strengthen out borders although it would be impossible, I guess, to build a wall around America. Not of concrete anyway. I definitely think our borders should be adequately guarded and we should not be lax in monitoring who comes into the country.
