And it would depend on when it would become vacant. If he fights the charges, that’s assuming the DA will move the case forward, the trial could be next year. If a trial was held after the municipal elections in the spring and he was found guilty, some mayors might look at running since they would not have to give up their municipal seats if they didn’t become a state rep.

Maybe even a current high ranking parish elected official in Grant.
