[QUOTE=Unregistered90]I think Diane no longer lives in this area. I don’t see how she could run in the 22nd district.

Seems to me there has to be vacancy before there is an election. Mr. Wright is charged at this point not convicted. Are we going to accord him due process?

They want to be the first to say they are running and lock up that support. Then the inevitable call from the reporter seeking a stupid comment so he can print it and sell more papers.

In the middle of it all is a family. A family with children.

We all are responsible and accountable for our actions. Mr. Wright should have his day in court and pay the price if found guilty. Until then there is not a race to run.

Even if found guilty he does not have to vacate his seat. He was only charged with a misdemeanor.

Maybe a two thirds vote of the house.

I don’t know why you replied to my post with what you have said here. I know TDW has a family and though his children grown, they are sure to be hurt by what has allegedly happened.I have an open mind about it and will be glad for him to prove the charges are false. Other folks have brought up names of various individuals who might possible be interested in representing district 22 should there be a vacancy soon or in 2 or 3 years. I merely mentioned that I think Diane McCartney Lane no longer lives in our area. Why you chose my post to give a little lecture about there being no seat to run for is not clear to me.

I think she would do a really good job. I could vote for her. She would be a rep with morals and values. She is just an above average person.

On the other hand I could vote for and support Stringer to. I think he is honest and I think his word means something. I like the guy.

Owens, Sandifer and the Brown guy are not what we need.

Isn’t there a recall effort against Mr. Stringer right now? I don’t know all the details but I don’t know if I could vote for someone that is being recalled.

There is no way Wright should have beat Owen, considering how Wrights numbers looked in the primary. This makes me think that Owen lacks what it takes to win a close race. We could use a representative like Steve Gunn again. One who was interested in keeping taxes low rather than keeping his pants down.

It sounds as if you and Mr. Gunn have clashed over an issue in the past. Right? I don’t recall hearing that he was mentally ill when he was representing our district. Has he not been well since leaving the office? If so, what type of mental illness does he have? Has he been confined to a mental illness treatment facility? If not, why?

You are right about not having all the details.

Then vote for someone else.

It is pretty simple.

Could you give the details? All I know is what I read in the paper and I would like to be an educated voter if this election comes to pass.
